Theodor Kirsch (politician)

Theodor Kirsch (born April 17, 1847 in Düsseldorf ; † May 31, 1911 there ) was a German lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Kirsch attended high school in Düsseldorf and the universities of Bonn and Heidelberg . In 1869 he became an auscultator and in 1874 a court assessor, as such he was employed in Düsseldorf and Altona . In 1875 he was judge of the peace in Simmern , in 1878 in Gerresheim and in 1879 district judge there. From 1886 he was a district judge, later a district judge and from 1895 a district judge in Düsseldorf. He was also the author of various articles with legal and numismatic content and also the owner of an extensive coin collection.

From 1894 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1898 of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Düsseldorf 4 (Düsseldorf) and the German Center Party . He held both mandates until he died in 1911 in the Dusseldorf Carmelite monastery as a result of an appendectomy.
