Theodor Werner (politician)

Theodor Werner (born January 8, 1884 in Itzehoe ; † August 17, 1973 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1947 to 1950 he was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament .

Life

Werner attended elementary school and then worked professionally as a warehouse keeper.

From 1921 to 1924 he was a community representative, office and community leader in Brunsbüttel . In the Süderdithmarschen district he was a district councilor and a member of the district committee until 1926 . From 1928 to 1933 Werner was a city councilor in Kiel and a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Provincial Parliament . He then worked as the party secretary of the SPD.

In the Schleswig-Holstein state election in 1947 , Werner was elected in constituency 19 (Plön-Süd) as a direct candidate of the SPD in the Kiel state parliament, to which he belonged from May 8, 1947 until the end of the legislative period on May 31, 1950. As a member of the state parliament, he was parliamentary representative of the state minister for labor, economy and transport from November 8, 1947. In addition, during his time as a member of parliament he chaired the economic committee of the state parliament.

Werner took part in the first Federal Assembly on September 12, 1949 , at which Theodor Heuss was elected Federal President .

He was married and had three children.
