Theophilus Riesinger

Theophilus Riesinger OFM (born February 27, 1868 in Germany , † November 9, 1941 in Marathon , USA ) was a Roman Catholic religious priest and exorcist.

Life

Theophilus Riesinger was on May 29, 1899 at the Franciscan order for priests ordained . In 1928 Riesinger was commissioned to travel to the USA to help a 40-year-old woman through exorcism . His journey took him to Earling Monastery in Shelby County , Iowa . The exorcism took about twenty-three days. Two days before Christmas , the woman was finally freed from the alleged demonic influence .

Father Theophilus Riesinger wrote down the events in 1934; they were published as a book. Riesinger died in Wisconsin Monastery on November 9, 1941 .
