Therese Willstedt

Therese Ulla Ann Willstedt (born May 5, 1984 in Växjö ) is a Swedish director and choreographer .

Life

Therese Willstedt studied from 2001 to 2004 at the Ballet Academy in Gothenburg and from 2008 to 2012 directing at the Danish National School of Performance Arts in Copenhagen , where she also taught. She lives in Copenhagen and works in Scandinavia, Germany and Palestine as a theater director and choreographer. She also develops dance theater performances.

In Germany she showed Johanna von Orleans at the Thalia Theater Hamburg as part of the Körber Studio Junge Regie 2011 . For her staging of Schiller's Røverne at Aalborg Teater, she was nominated for the 2013 Danish Theater Prize as best theater director. In recent years she has directed in Denmark, among others at the Royal Theater in Copenhagen, the Odense Teater and the Teater Nordkraft.

Since mid-2017 she has been the director of the theater at the Regionteatern Blekinge Kronoberg in Sweden.
