Thierry Poiraud

Thierry Poiraud (* 1970 in Nantes ) is a French director and screenwriter . He often works with his brother Didier Poiraud .

Life

1995 debuted Poiraud along with his brother with the short film Les escarpins sauvages , a black and white - stop-motion film of 13 minutes in length. In 1996 the two shot the video sequences for the adventure video game Die Affäre Morlov , which is set in Paris. This was followed by the two short films Duvetman (1997) and Meurtre d'un broutemécouilles chinois (1998) together with the directing collective Les United Blaireaux. This collective also published the short film Die fantastische Nacht in 2003 , which won the Jameson Short Award at the Brussels Short Film Festival as well as the Canal + Prize from the University of Clermont-Ferrand .

In 2004 the two made their first feature film Atomik Circus - Le retour de James Bataille , a horror film that was shown at the Fantasy Film Festival 2005 and Sitges , among others .

In 2008 a documentary about Vanessa Paradis and her Divinidylle Tour followed .

2014 turned Thierry Poiraud along with Benjamin Rocher the football - zombie movie Goal of the Dead - Elf Zombies have to be her . In 2015 his first solo film followed, the zombie film Alone , which was shot in Spain. Since 2017 he has directed the television series Zone Blanche together with Julien Despaux .
