Thirteen Days is an Austrian punk band.

history

Foundation and debut album (2008–2009)

Thirteen Days was founded in 2008 by singer and guitarist Roman "Mische" Mischitz and bassist Jürgen "Bobo" Oberhauser in their hometown of Klagenfurt . After initially changing members, guitarist Marcel Rankl and drummer Patrick Pongratz joined them. In 2009 the band released their first album Start It Now on Finest Noise / Radar Music as well as their first music video and began to play concerts nationwide.

First successes (2009-2010)

The increasing awareness of Thirteen Days due to album reviews in various print and online media and the lively concert activity brought them a management contract with the Bad Taste Music Agency in 2009 , which further increased their tour activity, as well as some top-class support shows in 2010, including for All Time Low , Blink-182 , Simple Plan and a few other international sizes. At the end of 2010 work began on the second long player.

Second album and line-up (2011–2012)

While Thirteen Days continued to focus on expanding their stage presence in their home country Austria and the surrounding countries as much as possible in 2011, the studio sessions for their second album Love, Fear & Fire began in May , which was produced in collaboration with producer Francesco Cattiti and Mastering - Engineer Brian Gardner . Love, Fear & Fire was released on March 16, 2012 by Pate Records and distributed by Rough Trade and was initially accompanied by an album release tour. With the two singles Build Your Own World and Point of View , the band was also able to gain a foothold on German radio stations for the first time, while the videos for the singles achieved top positions in the viewer charts on the Gotv music channel and consistently reached five-digit viewer numbers on YouTube .

Shortly after the album was released, however, there were serious internal differences, which led to a change of line-up on rhythm guitar and drums, whereby Patrick “Freisi” Freisinger and Thomas “Tommy” Hlatky joined Thirteen Days as permanent members.

In summer 2012, the Two Days A Week Festival in Austria was played for the second time since 2010, before the tour for the current album was continued from October, including support shows for Donots and New Riot .

Third album (from 2013)

On August 26, 2013, it was announced on the band's Facebook page that their third studio album would be mixed by audio engineer Chris Dugan ( Green Day , U2 , Iggy Pop , Foxboro Hot Tubs ) at JingleTown Recording Studios Oakland CA.
