Thomas Bürgler (born March 3, 1960 in Illgau , Schwyz ) is a former Swiss ski racer , like his older brother Toni Bürgler .
In its heyday in early 1985, he won both World Cup - giant slalom in Schladming and Kranjska Gora . In between, he won the bronze medal in combination at the 1985 World Championships in Bormio . From the end of 1983 to the beginning of 1986 he achieved individual World Cup podiums in all disciplines, except downhill .
Bürgler was Swiss champion seven times from 1981 to 1988 (four times in the combination, twice in the giant slalom and once in the Super-G).
