Thomas Duttenhoefer
Thomas Duttenhoefer (born February 28, 1950 in Speyer ) is a German sculptor and professor of basic teaching and drawing at the Faculty of Design at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences .
Life
Duttenhoefer attended the Werkkunstschule Wiesbaden from 1967 to 1969 . 1969–1972 he studied sculpture at the Wiesbaden College of Design with Erwin Schutzbach. In 1974 he received a scholarship from the DAAD in London , where he was visiting professor at Goldsmith College in 1975. From 1976 teaching at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden. 1980–1982 teaching position for sculptural design and figurative drawing at the Mainz University of Applied Sciences . In 1984 he received a teaching position at the University of Mainz. From 1995 to 2003 he was a professor at Trier University of Applied Sciences , and since 2003 he has been a professor at what is now Mannheim University of Applied Sciences. Duttenhoefer has lived in Darmstadt since 1979 .
He is a member of the New Darmstadt Secession , the Palatinate Secession and the group "argo", Speyer.
