Wilhelm Loth Prize

The Wilhelm Loth Prize is an art prize awarded by the City of Darmstadt .

The award, originally referred to as the City of Darmstadt Art Prize , has been named after the Darmstadt-born sculptor Wilhelm Loth since 1995 . The first award took place in 1955 and took place annually until 2007. Since then, a new award winner has been appointed every two years. The prize is endowed with a monetary amount of 12,000 euros (as of 2012) and also includes a solo exhibition for which a catalog is being published.
