Thomas Gutberlet

Thomas Gutberlet (* 1969 in Würzburg ) is a German entrepreneur and managing director of the Tegut grocery chain .

Life

Gutberlet is the grandson of Tegut founder Theo Gutberlet . He studied at the University of Cooperative Education in Karlsruhe ( dm-drogerie markt ) and then worked for Nestlé in marketing and sales for three years before joining the family business in 1998.

First he worked in the Marketing division, then he became Chief Financial Officer and, since 2002, Chief Product Officer and Marketing Officer. In 2009 he became chairman of the board. Even after the sale of Tegut to the Swiss Migros Cooperative in 2013, he remained the company's managing director. He expanded Tegut's pioneering role in the field of organic products and sustainability .
