Thomas Herrmann (director)
Thomas Herrmann (born January 21, 1965 in Karlsruhe ) is a German photographer and television director .
He grew up in Karlsruhe and Milan , where his father held a leading position as the manager of a German construction company. At the University of Bologna , Herrmann studied communication science at the institute founded and headed by Umberto Eco . After completing his studies, he settled in Berlin , where, after working as an assistant director, he finally worked as a director himself, especially for series productions on public television.
Thomas Herrmann is married to the actress Franziska Stavjanik and lives in Berlin. They have one son.
