Thomas Mayer (born October 2, 1815 in Frankenried near Kaufbeuren ; † January 1, 1870 in Landshut ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Mayer, son of a farmer, studied law in Munich from 1834 and became a member of the Corps Suevia there . In 1839 he became a legal trainee, in 1843 a court advisor in Munich, later in Ottobeuren , and in 1845 a regional court assessor. From May 18, 1848 to June 18, 1849 he was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly ( Westendhall , March Association ), and most recently the rump parliament .

Mayer was retired in 1849 and high treason proceedings were initiated against him for participating in the rump parliament. He spent pre-trial detention in Memmingen and Augsburg. After his release, Mayer lived in Munich from 1851 to 1857. From 1850 to 1853 he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Bavarian State Parliament (left). In 1857 he was reinstated in his office, first as clerk of appeal court in Munich, 1859 in Freising, 1863 in Landshut and in 1865 district judge in Landshut.
