Thomas Mitscherlich

Thomas Mitscherlich ( December 11, 1942 in Heidelberg - March 18, 1998 in Oberstein , Westallgäu ) was a German film director , screenwriter and writer .

biography

Mitscherlich was born in Heidelberg in 1942 as the son of Alexander Mitscherlich and his second wife Georgia Wiedemann.

Mitscherlich has worked as an independent film director and screenwriter since the early 1970s. His oeuvre consists of documentary, socially engaged and political films. He was one of the directors of the "Bremer Institut Film Fernsehen", which also produced Mitscherlich's most famous and last documentary film, Reisen ins Leben ( 1996).

Mitscherlich died in 1998 at the age of 55 as a result of a heart attack.
