Thomas Rebensburg (born June 27, 1958 in Munich ) is a German composer and musician .

Thomas Rebensburg was born on June 27, 1958. He attended the Tegernsee high school.

After graduating from high school, Rebensburg studied composition and conducting at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich. He graduated in 1983. After receiving several composition prizes in the E and U categories, such as the Ernst Fischer Prize of the GEMA Foundation (1982 and 1987) and the composition prize for sacred choral music in 1984, he received the Bavarian State Prize for Young Artists in 1989.

Between 1987 and 1991 he worked regularly as a producer, composer and arranger for the radio orchestra in East Berlin.

The 90s were characterized by intensive studio work as an arranger and composer for national and international artists, but also by the realization of larger work projects.

So z. In 1995, for example, the multi-media oratorio “De Fundatione” (book: Michael Heim), which deals with the history of the origins of the Tegernsee monastery and was premiered in 1996 for the 1250th anniversary of the city of Tegernsee, took one year.

In 2006 he became musical director of the Christmas tour "Holy Night" with Enrico de Paruta and remained in this position until 2017.

From 2013 to 2017 he worked as an arranger for the strong beer tapping from Nockherberg .

Rebensburg is married to the presenter and journalist Petra Schwarzenberg and has two children. He is the uncle of ski racer Viktoria Rebensburg .
