Petra Schwarzenberg is a German journalist and television presenter .

Life

Petra Schwarzenberg attended grammar school in Tegernsee up to grade 11 and graduated from high school in Bad Tölz in 1980 . She then completed a degree in Romance and German at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1987 she sat in on the radio news and the television department Politics and Current Affairs at BR . There she did a speaker training and worked as a freelancer for the station. She moderated programs on radio stations Bayern 1 and Bayern 3 , was on Thomas Gottschalk's radio team and presented the news programs Abendschau and Rundschau .

From 1993 Petra Schwarzenberg worked in the editorial department as a presenter for the news program Der Tag at the private broadcaster VOX in Cologne . A year later she presented RTL aktuell and the RTL Nachtjournal . There she was the deputy of editor-in-chief Peter Kloeppel . After she left RTL in 2003 due to pregnancy, she joined the news channel n-tv , where she moderated the news programs until 2012.

Petra Schwarzenberg has been working in the newsroom of Rundschau-Magazin des Bayerischen Rundfunks since December 2012 and moderates the Rundschau on Bavarian television . She is married to the composer Thomas Rebensburg , an uncle of the ski racer Viktoria Rebensburg , and has two children.
