Thomas Reineck

Thomas Reineck (born November 18, 1967 in Klausdorf ) is a former German canoeist . He became Olympic champion in four-man kayaks in 1992 and 1996 .

career

Thomas Reineck started canoeing in 1979. In 1985 he won his first world championship medal in the juniors, a year later he won his first medal in the performance class. After winning two world championship medals in 1987, he competed in the Olympic Games for the first time in 1988 and finished sixth with the German four-man kayak.

Reineck was among the West German canoeists, before and after the reunification of the German national team belonged, he was in 1990 when the last German championship without the GDR canoeists and 1991 with the first all-German championship with the former East German canoeists German champion On the one Kayak over 500 meters.
