Thomas Renner

Thomas Renner (born August 22, 1951 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a bank manager and functionary . From January 2007 to December 2014 he was chairman of the board of Sparda-Bank Baden-Württemberg eG .

Origin, education and personal information

Thomas Renner was born in Freiburg. After acquiring the subject-specific university entrance qualification at the commercial high school in 1973, Thomas Renner was trained as a federal railway inspector until 1975. From 1980 to 1982 he studied at the Academy of German Cooperatives and graduated with a degree in banking management from ADG.

Thomas Renner travels and hikes frequently, is interested in music and art and plays the piano himself. He holds a large number of honorary posts and is a committed supporter of children's gymnastics and music.

Career

From 1972 to 1980 Thomas Renner worked for the Deutsche Bundesbahn .

Sparda Bank

On May 1, 1980, Thomas Renner changed to a management position at Sparda-Bank Karlsruhe, from 1982 to 1998 he was its deputy chairman. During this time, from October 1995 to April 1996, he was also CEO of Sparda-Bank Münster. In April 1999 he became a member of the Management Board of Sparda-Bank Baden-Württemberg, and in September 2001 he became Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sparda-Bank Baden-Württemberg. From January 1, 2007 until his departure on December 31, 2013, he was CEO of Sparda-Bank Baden-Württemberg.
