The Sparda-Bank Baden-Württemberg eG is a German cooperative bank based in Stuttgart . It was created in 1999 from the merger of the Sparda banks in Karlsruhe and Stuttgart. With total assets of 13.7 billion euros in the 2018 financial year, it is the third largest cooperative bank in Germany and thus the largest Sparda bank in Germany . It is also the largest mortgage lender in Baden-Württemberg with almost 2 billion euros in funding in 2014.

The savings and advance payment association of Baden railway officials founded in Karlsruhe on May 6, 1896, was the very first Sparda bank. Originated as railway savings and loan funds for officials of the railway, post office and steamship, the Sparda banks were supposed to secure modest prosperity for their members.

It has 38 branches in Baden-Württemberg and over 530,000 members.
