Thomas Schleusing

Thomas Schleusing (born December 18, 1937 in Chemnitz , † March 15, 1993 in Wensickendorf ) was a German illustrator and caricaturist .

In 1961 he obtained his diploma at the University of Fine and Applied Arts in Berlin-Weißensee. He was a member of the Pirckheimer Society and the group of artists Group 4 . He gained fame through the design of the cover of the youth magazine new life , his drawings in the weekly newspaper Wochenpost and the design of numerous books for the children's book publisher Berlin .

Schleusing was married to the children's book illustrator Brigitte Schleusing . He died by suicide in 1993.
