Thomas Ströhl (born October 10, 1988 in Erfurt ) is a German football player .

Career

Ströhl played for FSV 1921 Herbsleben until he was nine years old and then went through the junior teams of Rot-Weiß Erfurt . In the 2006/07 season he reached 10th place with the A-youth in the U-19 Bundesliga and this year was also allowed to play once for the U-23 in the Oberliga NOFV-Süd . In the following season he moved permanently to the second team, which was relegated and at the end managed direct promotion. On the 36th matchday of the 2007/08 season , he made his debut in the first team against VfB Lübeck . This in turn qualified for the new single-track 3rd division . There he made his professional debut on the 8th matchday of the following season. He was also used more and more in the first team in the second half of the season.

In the third division season 2009/10 Ströhl belonged for the first time to the tribe in the third division and completed 28 of 38 possible season appearances. The following year, however, he missed a large part of the season due to groin problems and then because of a tear in the meniscus, and he was only a substitute for the rest of the second half of the season. In his fifth year for RW Erfurt, he was back in the team as a left defender. In the second half of the 2011/12 season, however , he lost his regular place and was only used irregularly. After 15 years at FC Rot-Weiß, Ströhl left his home in Erfurt in the summer of 2013 and moved to Goslarer SC 08 in the Regionalliga Nord . There he came to 21 missions in the 2013/14 season and reached fifth place with Goslar. On June 2, 2014, Ströhl moved to FC Carl Zeiss Jena , where he signed a two-year contract. In the summer of 2015 he moved to the league competitor VfB Germania Halberstadt in the Regionalliga Nordost. In the summer of 2016, VfV 06 Hildesheim announced Ströhl's commitment shortly before leaving for its training camp.
