Thomas Thimme

Thomas Thimme (born July 24, 1954 in Berlin ) is a German journalist and media manager .

Life

Thimme studied economics and journalism. He completed his studies with an MA . He worked as a reporter for the Bonner Rundschau . From 1983 to 1987 he worked as a media officer in the first parliamentary group of the Greens . He also worked in the management of the broadcaster Free Berlin .

As a journalist and media clerk, he was managing director of various private broadcasters . He was co-founder and managing director of Radio 100 , for which he filed for bankruptcy in 1991 . He was also the founder and first managing director of Energy 103.4 . In 1994 Thimme became managing director at IA television . In 1995 he started his own business with the company "Media Sales Management".

From 2002, he succeeded Georg Gafron as managing director of Radio Hundert, 6 Medien GmbH. However, his attempts to restructure failed, and he also filed for bankruptcy for the station. He then designed the Brandenburg radio station Power Radio , of which he is the managing partner and director.
