Thomas Trumpp

Thomas Trumpp (born September 13, 1931 in Banda Aceh / Indonesia ) is a German historian and archivist.

Life

Thomas Trumpp grew up in Crailsheim . After studying history in Tübingen, where he received his doctorate in 1963 with a thesis on Franz von Papen and the Prussian-Reich dualism, he became an archivist at the Federal Archives . During this time he edited numerous archive materials and wrote a number of historical writings. He submitted over 180 publications.

honors and awards

On April 24, 2008 he received the Rhineland-Palatinate Medal of Merit .
