Thomas William Lyons
Thomas William Lyons (born September 26, 1923 in Washington, DC , † March 25, 1988 in Baltimore ) was an American clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Washington .
Life
Thomas William Lyons received on 22 May 1948, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On July 12, 1974, Pope Paul VI appointed him . as titular bishop of Murthlacum and auxiliary bishop in Washington. The Archbishop of Washington, William Wakefield Baum , gave him on 12 September of the same year in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception , the consecration ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Columbus , Edward John Herrmann , and the Auxiliary Bishop of New Orleans , Harold Robert Perry SVD .
