The Thui I (other names: Karol Zom and Chatir Zom ) is the second highest mountain in the Hinduraj Mountains .
location
The Thui I is located in the main ridge of the northern Hinduraj on the district border of Chitral and Ghizer . The mountain reaches a height of 6662 m . The eastern Kotalkash glacier separates the Thui I from the Koyo Zom , the highest mountain in Hinduraj. Another glacier lies on its western flank. Both glaciers flow north to the Yarkhun . On the southern flank of the Thui I lies the Borumbar Glacier , which is part of the Yasin catchment area .
Ascent history
The first ascent was achieved by a Japanese expedition in 1974. The ascent route led from the Borumbar Glacier over the south ridge of P6400 and the southwest ridge of Thui I to the summit. On July 27th, the expedition members Hideo Mutoh and Hiroshi Yanagi reached the summit.
