occupation

Thunder II is the sequel to the three years earlier action film Thunder by Fabrizio De Angelis . It was premiered in German in 1987 on video.

action

Thunder is a Native American American who went to the police force. Among his colleagues is the former Deputy Rusty. Tensions from earlier times flare up again immediately, especially since Rusty is deeply involved in the drug trade in the area and fears that the new colleague might cause him trouble. He arranges evidence so that Thunder is sentenced to five years of forced labor as the murderer of drug dealer Max. Even the shrewd lawyer Thomas Ruder cannot refute the false evidence. After eleven days of solitary confinement, Thunder is able to flee to his pregnant wife Sheela in the mountains. He causes Ruder to reopen the process, but is chased by Rusty by helicopter. When Sheela loses the baby, Thunder remembers his Indian roots and goes on a warpath with a bow and arrow. He manages to find Rusty, who has meanwhile become suspicious, alone in an examination cell. Thunder is reluctant to kill him, however. With the help of the well-meaning Sheriff Roger, Thunder can reach the limit.

criticism

The lexicon of international films saw a “sequel film that lives less from the thin and holey plot than from sensational show and action numbers. Relatively cautious in the scenes of violence. ”Meanwhile, Francesco Minnini asked himself:“ Understandable with The Godfather or The great white shark , but here? A sequel to Thunder means wasted time and money. Who should watch such a film? "

Remarks

Another sequel was made in 1988 with Thunder 3 . An alternative title is Thunder 2 - An Indian takes revenge .
