Thure Westerdahl
Thure Alfred Westerdahl (born February 21, 1904 in Stockholm ; † March 15, 1936 there ) was a Swedish football player .
career
Westerdahl started playing football at Hammarby IF . "Turken", his nickname , came to AIK via Sundbybergs IK , probably in 1926 . For the club, the goalkeeper ran in 29 games in the Allsvenskan in the following three years . He then went to Hässelby SK .
At the height of his career, Westerdahl was nominated twice for the Swedish national team in 1927 . He made his debut in the jersey of the national team in the 12-0 victory over Latvia on May 29, 1927. With a 6-2 win over the Finnish national team in the following international match on June 12 of that year, he said goodbye to the national team.
In March 1936 he was killed in a traffic accident in Spånga-Tensta .
