The first extensive development began in 1904 with the construction of uniformly designed wooden houses in a typical Swedish red color. After 1907 there was more variability in the newly built villas and terraced houses.

Lundby

The district is characterized by a commercial center.

Tensta

Tensta’s new buildings were built during the Swedish million dollar program . Between 1966 and 1972, multi-family houses with a total of 6,000 apartments were built. Before that there was a village here that was first mentioned in 1539. A line of the Stockholm Metro ends in the western area, called Hjulsta .
