Tiago Coelho Branco Calvano (born May 19, 1981 in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ) is a Brazilian soccer player who also has Italian citizenship.

For the 2005/06 season he moved from FC Barcelona to the BSC Young Boys in the top Swiss division. He was mostly a regular player in central defense there. For the 2008/09 season he moved to MSV Duisburg . Tiago Coelho Branco Calvano , his full name, is a robust defender with good positional play and a good eye for the first pass.

For the 2010/11 season Tiago moved to Fortuna Düsseldorf , but was only used four times in the first half of the season . During the winter break of the 2010/11 season, Tiago should move to Arminia Bielefeld . However, the change failed due to a defective fax machine. On Sunday, January 30th, 2011, one day before the end of changeover period II, Tiago and Arminia Bielefeld agreed on a change. The message that Tiago had found a new club Fortuna Dusseldorf reached on 31 January 2011 at 10:00 to make it to 12:00 on the transfer list of the DFL to set. Because of the defective fax machine, the application did not reach the DFL until 12:10 - 10 minutes late.

In May 2011, his move to the Australian A-League to the Newcastle United Jets was announced.

In January 2013 he left Newcastle and joined league rivals Sydney FC . After a year in Sydney, he left the club in January 2014.

He then moved to the USA for the NASL franchise Minnesota United and in 2017 on to Penn FC .
