Tibor Karny

Tibor Karny (born November 30, 1922 in Buitenzorg on Java , † December 28, 1995 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician of the Socialist Party of Austria (SPÖ).

education and profession

After attending primary and secondary school , he learned the trade of gardener . After the war he went to high school with an external Matura. He then passed three state exams in law studies . Between 1968 and 1969 he was an economic clerk at the union of public employees , from 1969 to 1972 salary clerk, then an administrative lawyer .

  • 1968: Member of the parliamentary group executive of the socialist group in the union of the public servants
  • 1972: Vice Chairman of the Union of Public Employees
  • 1972–1977: Deputy Chairman of the Socialist Group
  • 1977: Group leader

Political mandates

  • November 13, 1978 to December 30, 1982: Member of the Federal Council ( XIV. And XV. Legislative period), SPÖ
