Gale H. "Tiger" Shaw III. (Born August 24, 1961 in Burlington , Vermont ) is a retired American alpine ski racer .

Shaw competed in the Alpine Ski World Cup between 1983 and 1990. He reached the top ten eight times, seven times in slalom and one time in combination . He also took part in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo . At his starts in giant slalom and slalom, however, he did not reach the finish on both occasions. Four years later, at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , he finished 18th in Super-G and 12th in slalom.

Shaw graduated from Dartmouth College in 1985 and worked in the auto industry before founding his own company DealerWire and serving as COO . This was bought in February 2006, with Shaw helping to coordinate both businesses.
In August 2013 he was appointed COO of the US Ski and Snowboard Association and rose to CEO in spring 2014 .
