Tigran Sargsyan ( Armenian Տիգրան Սարգսյան / Tigran Sargsyan , in scientific transliteration Tigran Sargsyan ; [ti'gɹan saɹkʰəs'jan] * 29. January 1960 , Kirowakan , Armenian SSR (now Vanadzor , Armenia )) was since April 9, 2008 Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia ( Republican Party ). After almost exactly six years, he resigned on April 3, 2014. He was succeeded on April 13th Howik Abrahamjan .

From April 1998 to April 2008, Sargsyan was the chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia .

In October 2015, Sargsyan was elected chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission, a position he assumed on February 1, 2016.
