Till Fuhrmann (* 1970 in Braunschweig ) is a German costume designer who specializes in film and television productions.

Life

At the Lette-Verein Berlin, Till Fuhrmann began his training as a state-recognized fashion designer , which he successfully completed in 1992. During his training, Till Fuhrmann worked on his first costume commissions for independent theater productions, including for the Flamenco dance theater Almuth Dorowa Ensemble and Magna Mata Flamenco. During this time, influenced by his brother Kai Fuhrmann ( metal sculptor with the artist group Dead Chickens ), he also learned how to work metal into clothing (armor) and metal furnishings in parallel to his fashion training. Various exhibitions followed in Berlin and throughout Germany, such as in 1992 at the 6th experiments at the Frankfurt Autumn Fair , in 1994 the X-Position Young Art in Berlin at the Akademie der Künste zu Berlin, and in 2000 at the Long Night of Museums in botanical garden Berlin. His first jewelry collection was created during this time. At the same time, Till Fuhrmann founded the atelier and fashion store Eisdieler in Berlin together with three other graduates from the Lette Association.

With his experience as a fashion designer , jewelry designer, metal designer and also his first engagements as a costume assistant in various film productions at that time, Till Fuhrmann was finally able to work as a costume designer for the first time in 1998 on the international science fiction series Lexx - The Dark Zone . In the following years, Till Fuhrmann concentrated mainly on the work of the costume designer , which he repeatedly preferred to other design activities and which he now does full-time.

In his previous career, he has worked as a costume designer for directors Christoph Schrewe , Rick Kolbe , Martin Walz , Stefan Wagner , Jörg Buttgereit , Dolph Lundgren , Mischa Alexander , Axel Sand and Joern Heitmann, among others .

Till Fuhrmann lives in Berlin.
