Till Lieber (born July 25, 1981 in Bünde ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Till Lieber began his volleyball career in his Westphalian homeland at 1. VC Minden and then played in the youth teams of USC Münster and VfB Friedrichshafen . Later he became a junior national player in the volleyball boarding school in Frankfurt and took second place at the European Championship in 1999. Three years later he became world champion with the national military team. In 2003 he took part in the European Championship in his own country with the senior national team and came in seventh. From 2001 to 2008 he played for the Bundesliga club evivo Düren and was German runner-up here in 2005, 2006 and 2007. During this time Till Lieber appeared regularly in the rankings of German volleyball in the top positions of acceptance, defense and libero. In 2007 he was voted the second best Libero in the last twenty years. Even after his official resignation from the Düren Bundesliga team, Till Lieber helped out with short-term assignments in the following years when the club had staff shortages.
