Daniel Lind Lagerlöf, born Daniel Magnus Gösta Lind (born February 6, 1969 in Stockholm ; missing from Tanumshede , Sweden since October 6, 2011 ) was a Swedish director and filmmaker.

Life

Lagerlöf gained his first experience as an assistant director. In 1990 he made his directorial debut with the short film Föreställningen. In 1997 and 1998 he directed several episodes of the drama series Skärgårdsdoktorn and S: t Mikael by Sveriges Television . In 2001 the TV thriller Bekännelsen and the feature film Hans och hennes were directed by Lagerlöf and in 2002 two episodes of the television series Kommissar Beck - Die neuefalls . His last finished work as a director was the miniseries Bibliotekstjuven , which is based on a script by his wife Malin Holst Lagerlöf . His subsequent film Fjällbackamorden - Strandriddaren , which is based on a novel by Camilla Läckberg , was not finished because it disappeared without a trace during the search for the location.

Lind Lagerlöf was married to the screenwriter Malin Holst Lagerlöf and had three children.

Disappear

Lind Lagerlöf disappeared without a trace in a stormy wind on the Swedish Skagerrak coast when he was preparing to shoot the detective novel Strandritter by Camilla Läckberg in the Tjurpannan nature reserve (near Tanumshede , Bohuslän) and, according to police statements, probably drowned. Media reports said there was no suspicion of a crime or suicide .

During the search for Lind Lagerlöf, human body parts were found on the coast near Fjällbacka that had been in the water for a long time. With the help of DNA analyzes, the murder of one of four people who have also been missing in the area since 2008 could be solved, said a police spokesman for the Stockholm newspaper Aftonbladet . The search for the missing director was stopped on October 8, 2011. On August 23, 2013, recreational divers found pieces of bone below the Tanumshede in Bohuslän that could have come from Lagerlöf.
