Tim Brown (born March 6, 1981 in Ascot , England ) is a retired New Zealand soccer player and co-founder of Allbirds .

Career

Brown played for the Miramar Rangers in the adult field before he went to the United States at the University of Cincinnati , where he also played for the university team, the Cincinnati Bearcats. In 2004 he joined the Richmond Kickers , with whom he reached the final of the USL First Division in 2005 .

In mid-2006 he moved to the Australian club Newcastle United Jets , for which he came to a total of ten missions (three of them in the finals). During the long season break of the A-League (February to August) he went back to the USA and played there for the Cincinnati Kings in the USL Second Division . In April 2007 he signed a two-year contract with the newly founded A-League team Wellington Phoenix for the 2007/08 season and has since played for the only professional team in New Zealand.

National team

Brown played for the New Zealand U-20 and U-23 team and made his debut in 2004 against the Solomon Islands in the senior team . Since then he has developed into a regular player and has already worn the captain's armband several times. In 2008 he won the OFC Nations Cup with the national team , and in 2009 he took part in the Confederations Cup with New Zealand .
