Tim Colceri

Tim Colceri (born June 15, 1951 in Canton , Ohio ) is an American actor .

Life

Colceri was born in Canton, Ohio, in 1951. In 1953 his family moved to Phoenix , Arizona , where Colceri also grew up. At the age of 18 he joined the United States Marine Corps and spent 13 months in Da Nang, Vietnam . After his release, he began studying at Arizona State University . After graduating, he became a professional golfer. However, he had to end his sporting career after three years due to injury. At times he worked in restaurants and as a flight attendant.

From the beginning of the 1980s he turned to the film business. He took his first role in 1983 in the movie Inside the Love House .

Colceri was originally supposed to take on the role of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman when filming Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket . After Kubrick had seen test recordings of the technical advisor R. Lee Ermeys , how he insulted extras for several minutes without repeating himself, Ermey got the role. Instead, Colceri took on the role of a doorgunners who shot and killed a row of fleeing Vietnamese.

Colceri first directed Space Girls in Beverly Hills in 2009 .
