Chris Zylka (* 9. May 1985 in Warren , Ohio as Christopher Michael Settlemire ) is an American actor and model .

life and career

Zylka was established in May 1985 in Warren in the US state of Ohio born and partly Ukrainian descent. He attended Howland High School in Ohio, which he finished in 2003. He also attended the University of Toledo , from which he received a football scholarship. He broke off this to study acting and drawing.

He began his career in 2008 with a guest appearance as Jason in 90210 . This was followed by three guest roles in Everyone Hates Chris , in which he was seen in various roles. In 2009 he appeared as Gabe Lamotti in two episodes of Hannah Montana . In the same year he was seen in the pilot episode of Cougar Town as BJ . He also made the movie My Super Psycho Sweet 16 , where he starred as Brigg Jenner . He was also seen in the same role in the sequel . In 2009 and 2010 he made two guest appearances as Doyce Pluck in Zeke and Luther . In 2010 he starred alongside Thomas Dekker in the film Kaboom , in which he played the role of Thor . From 2009 to 2010 he played the supporting role of Joey Donner in the ABC-Family - youth series 10 Things I Hate About You , which is based on the film of the same name .

In 2011 he was cast in the two horror films Piranha 2 and Shark Night 3D . He was also at the side of Lindsey Shaw in 2011 , with whom he had already played in 10 Things I Hate About You , in the film Teen Spirit as Nick Ramsey . He also got a role in the new Spider-Man films The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as Eugene "Flash" Thompson .

In mid-2011 he was engaged for the supporting role of Jake Armstrong in The-CW - mystery series The Secret Circle , which was then expanded to a leading role at the end of the year. In 2013 he starred as Tyler Lewis in the mystery series Twisted in a supporting role. From 2014 to 2017, he played the role of Tom Garvey , son of Justin Theroux 'and Amy Brenneman's characters, on the television series The Leftovers .

From April 2014 until the separation in spring 2015, he was engaged to the model Hanna Beth. An engagement to media personality Paris Hilton ended in November 2018.
