10 Things I Hate About You (Original title: 10 Things I Hate About You ) is an American television series based on the 1999 film of the same name . The series started in the USA on June 7, 2009 on the cable channel ABC Family and reached around 1.6 million viewers at the premiere, which was a record for a half-hour comedy series on the station at the time. On April 29, 2010, executive producer Carter Covington announced that the series would not return for a second season. In June he announced in an interview with Entertainment Weekly how the plot would continue in the second season.
action
The two Stratford sisters Kat and Bianca couldn't be more different. Kat likes to wear black and is a feminist, whereas Bianca always wears light colors and wants to be popular. One would like to be an activist and the other would be a cheerleader . Her father Walter has been raising her alone since her mother's death.
You just moved to California from Ohio and are having problems at your new school, Padua High . The fact that their father is a gynecologist always leads to embarrassing situations when the two girls have appointments with boys from their school. He also sets up an extraordinary rule that says that Bianca should not have a boyfriend until Kat has found a partner. But of course Kat has no interest in it and is far too busy with her revolutionary streak, which drives Bianca to despair.
production
In August 2008, ABC Family announced their intention to produce a pilot comedy episode based on the 1999 film of the same name. It was written by Carter Covington , a self-proclaimed fan of the original film. ABC Family commissioned the production of a pilot episode in October of the same year. In November 2008 Lindsey Shaw and Meaghan Jette Martin were cast as the two Stratford sisters Kat and Bianca, Ethan Peck as Patrick Verona, Nicholas Braun as Cameron James and Kyle Kaplan as Michael Bernstein. The production of the pilot episode took place in autumn 2008 in Sunland-Tujunga , a small community in the northeast corner of Los Angeles . In February 2010, ABC Family announced the production of nine more episodes.
While Covington was looking for a redesigned adaptation , there are several connections between the pilot and the film, which gives the pilot the same feel. Gil Junge , who also directed the film, also directed the pilot episode. Richard Gibbs , who was responsible for the music in the original film, also composed the title track for the pilot episode. Larry Miller also slipped back into the role of the overprotective father, Walter Stratford.
Due to budget cuts, the other episodes were shot in a studio hall in Santa Clarita . Covington served the series as a show runner and one of the executive producers . He explained that he plans the show to feel like a John Hughes movie every week.

For the two Stratford sisters Kat and Bianca, who have just moved from Ohio to California with their father, everyday school life begins on the first day after the summer vacation. Bianca organizes a fundraiser to impress Chastity and raise money for the cheerleading team so they can buy new pompoms. She sells red and yellow carnations that students can give to each other. When Bianca does not receive a flower the next day, without knowing that Chastity destroyed the roses Cameron and Joey sent her, she is depressed. Kat is now dealing with an undesirable suitor, and she too is disappointed when she learns that it was not Patrick who sent her the flower. When she later sees her new suitor with a black eye, she accuses Patrick of having hurt him when in reality it was Mandella. | ||||||
