John Putch

John Putch (born July 27, 1961 in Chambersburg , Pennsylvania ) is an American film actor , film director , screenwriter , film producer and film editor .

Life

John Putch is the eldest son of film actress Jean Stapleton and theater director William H. Putch ; his younger sister is called Pamela. His first acting experience was in his father's theater, the Totem Pole Playhouse , in Fayetteville , Pennsylvania .

He made his film debut in 1973, at the age of twelve, at the side of his mother, in the US sitcom All in the Family . Both were also in Angel Dust Is Deadly , a drama from 1981 together in front of the camera.

Since then, Putch has appeared in numerous feature films and television series; at the age of 24 in 1985, he also made his debut as a director, producer and writer.
