Phil Traill

Phil Traill (born June 6, 1973 ) is an American film director and screenwriter .

Life

Traill was born in New Jersey but grew up in London, United Kingdom. He graduated from Newcastle University ; he completed his studies in 1995. He then worked as a producer, including for the BBC . His first film, for which he also wrote the screenplay, was the short film Hiccup (1998). He made other short films, including Flipped (2001), Dangle (2003) and several episodes of the television series Spoons (2005). For the film Crazy About Steve (2009) he was nominated in the worst director category for the 2010 Golden Raspberry . Since 2010 he has directed several episodes for the television series 10 Things I Hate About You , Men of a Certain Age , Raising Hope , The Middle , Jane by Design and Suburgatory .

Traill lives in Los Angeles .
