Tim Reichert, Chief Gaming Officer (FC Schalke 04 Esports)

Tim Reichert (born October 9, 1979 in Essen ) is a former German football professional . Today he is responsible for the strategic direction of FC Schalke 04 Esports as Chief Gaming Officer (CGO).

Reichert's football career began in the 2003/04 season when he got a professional contract with Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , but was not used in the first two years. During this time Reichert was used in the amateur team in the Oberliga Nordrhein . After an interlude at SSVg Velbert in the 2005/06 season, he returned to Oberhausen and managed with Oberhausen the march from the Oberliga to the 2nd Bundesliga . His brother Benjamin also played for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen during this time and was team captain. For the 2009/10 season Reichert moved to Sportfreunde Siegen , for whom he played in the NRW League until 2011 . In 2013 he joined the Oberhausen district league club SV Adler Osterfeld with his former RWO teammates Tuncay Aksoy and Timo Uster .

In May 2016 Tim Reichert became Head of Esports at FC Schalke 04 . He took on responsibility for setting up and integrating an e-sports department into the structures of the football club from the heart of the Ruhr area. Since October 2017 Reichert has been responsible for the strategic direction of FC Schalke 04 Esports as Chief Gaming Officer.

His work at FC Schalke 04 was preceded by a degree in business informatics. Reichert then worked for a media agency. Together with his brothers, Ralf and Benjamin, he founded the e-sports organization SK Gaming in 1997 .
