The Timmermoor is a 4-hectare natural monument in the south-east of the Hamburg district of Bergstedt , which was placed under protection by the Senate Ordinance of February 4, 1986.

The Moorteich is around 20,000 years ago during the last ice age Resulting Soll and Heath lined and wood. Contrary to earlier assumptions that the blow hole was caused by a hurricane, it is now assumed that the depression was caused by the subsidence of soil layers above thawing dead ice.

The area is the location of rare, step-sensitive bog plants that are satisfied with nutrient-poor soil. Endangered dragonflies and amphibian species also live there .
