Timmo Jegher

Timmo Jegher , also Jheger (active between 1435 and 1442) was a German bell and grape caster .

Foundry brand Jeghers

The four bells in the Mecklenburg village churches of Dambeck and Russow (today part of Rerik ), as well as bell IX of the Marienkirche in Wismar and in the collegiate church of Bützow , which was probably melted down during the First World War, have been preserved by him, dated and signed 1435 . His foundry mark, two superimposed angles similar to the Roman numeral XX, is very similar to Rickert de Monkehagen's mark , without the relationships between the two foundries or their workshops having been clarified yet. So far, no bell of the master could be determined with a different casting year. The four bells Timmo Jegher to be named are elegantly designed, labeled with large, somewhat flat Gothic minuscules and are of very good cast design. The Russow Bell Osanna with the large Aachen pilgrimage sign is remarkable .

Jegher the house acquired in 1435 in Lübeck Tom Engel in Fischergrube no. 16 (now number 46) the ore caster before about a hundred years Johann Apengeter had heard. In 1442 he sold it to the caster Hinrich Gerwiges , who cast the fifth of the Aegidienkirche in 1453 .
