Timothy Fok

Timothy Fok Tsun-ting , GBS , SBS , JP ( Chinese  霍震霆 , Pinyin Huò Zhèntíng , Jyutping Fok 3 Zan 3 ting 4 ; born February 14, 1946 in Hong Kong ) is a Chinese entrepreneur, politician and sports official. He is the eldest son of Hong Kong billionaire Henry Fok, who died in 2006 .

General

Timothy Fok was educated in the UK . After attending Millfield School in Somerset , he went to the University of Southern California in Los Angeles .

After returning to Hong Kong, he took over the chairmanship of the Fok Ying Tung Foundation . Politically he behaved neutrally and remained non-party. However, he is a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference . As a member of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Legislative Council , he is responsible for sport, culture, visual arts and publication.

Sports administration

Timothy Fok is President of the Hong Kong Football Association and the Hong Kong NOK and Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia .

IOC membership

In 2001 Timothy Fok was elected an IOC member. His membership ended in 2016, after which he became an honorary member. He is still a member of the Commissions for Culture and Olympic Heritage, Auditing and the Coordination of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
