Tina Beer

Tina Beer (born September 1, 1987 in Jena ) is a German political scientist and political officer . Since the beginning of March 2020, she has been State Secretary for Culture in the Thuringian State Chancellery .

Life

After Beer graduated from the Pierre-de-Coubertin-Gymnasium in Erfurt in 2007, she studied political and communication science at the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena , which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2010 . This was followed by a master’s degree in political science with a focus on foreign policy and international relations there .

From 2008 to 2014, Beer was a student and research assistant and office manager in (constituency) offices of members of the German Bundestag and the Thuringian Landtag in Jena and Berlin. Between 2013 and 2016 she took on teaching positions on the subject of “Transnational Islamist Terrorism” at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. From 2015 to 2017 she was personal advisor, from 2018 to February 2020 office manager, the Minister for Culture, Federal and European Affairs and head of the Thuringian State Chancellery, Benjamin-Immanuel Hoff .

In the course of the formation of the Ramelow II cabinet , Beer was appointed State Secretary for Culture in the Thuringian State Chancellery at the beginning of March 2020 . She succeeded Babette Winter , who had been put into temporary retirement .
