Christina Jo Ellertson (* 20th May 1982 in Vancouver , Washington as Christina Jo Frimpong ) is a former American football player .
Career
society
Ellertson began her career with W-League participant Seattle Sounders Women . For the first season of the newly founded WPS , she switched to the Saint Louis Athletica franchise in 2009 . After Saint Louis' withdrawal from the WPS in May 2010, Ellertson moved to league rivals Atlanta Beat like her teammates Hope Solo and Eniola Aluko . After a few months in Atlanta, she joined the newly founded magicJack franchise .
In early 2013, she was committed to the so-called supplemental draft for the premier season of the newly founded NWSL from the franchise of Portland Thorns FC . After she had announced at the beginning of the season that she was not available for family reasons, she made her league debut on August 7, 2013 and won the championship title at the end of the season. Before the 2014 season, she announced her retirement.
National team
Ellertson made his debut in the US national team in 2005 and took part with this, among other things, in the 2007 Soccer World Cup, where it was used in two games.
