Albertina "Tina" Marie Majorino (born February 7, 1985 in Westlake Village , California ) is an American actress .

Life

As a nine-year-old she had her first cinema appearance in When a Man Loves a Woman and then shot several films in quick succession, the highlight of which was Waterworld at the side of Kevin Costner . After that she only worked sporadically for television, initially not at all from 1999. After a series appearance in Without a Trace and an important supporting role in Napoleon Dynamite , she is filming regularly again and played as a recurring character 'Cindy "Mac" MacKenzie in Veronica Mars and the role of Heather Tuttle in the hit series Big Love about a Mormon family . In the ninth and at the beginning of the tenth season of the series Grey's Anatomy , Majorino took on the role of assistant doctor Heather Brooks.

Majorino is a member of the music band The AM Project .
