The Tirado Peninsula ( Spanish Península Tirado , in Argentina Península Laprida ) is a peninsula on the Danco coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It extends in a north-northwest direction. Its northwestern branch is Leniz Point on the Argentino Canal .
Chilean scientists named it after Captain Hugo Tirado Barrios, the leader of the 14th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1959–1960). The background of the Argentine naming is not known.
