Tito Nieves
Humberto "Tito" Nieves (born June 4, 1958 in Rio Piedras , Puerto Rico ) is a singer and salsa musician .
Life
Born in Puerto Rico, Nieves grew up in the United States , where he began his music career. As a teenager he joined the Orquesta Cimarron , a salsa band from New York , and soon became their lead singer. In 1977, at the age of 19, Nieves joined Héctor Lavoe's band , the Conjunto Clasico . In 1986 Nieves started his solo career and was u. a. known for its English-language salsa songs. His hits included El amor más bonito , Sonámbulo and I like it like that . For his solo albums, Nieves has received two Latin Grammy awardsand nominated for a Grammy .
