Titular diocese of Damiata dei Greco-Melkiti
Damiata dei Greco-Melkiti is a titular archbishopric of the Roman Catholic Church , which is awarded by the Pope to titular archbishops from the Melkite Greek Catholic Church united with Rome .
It goes back to an earlier diocese of the ancient city of Damiette in Egypt (late ancient Roman province Aegyptus Herculea or Augustamnica ) in the eastern Nile Delta , which belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Pelusium .
